Controversial advertizing

The new Bennetton campagne is launched. Lets go back to the 80s!

How controversial is this campagne in the 2nd decade of the new century? In a time where taboos are not existing anymore! Okay, we are talking about Bennetton in this blog, but is this enough to (re)create a brand? Is this enough to create more value to the market?

We ask: Where are the new ideas on the advertizing markets? There are millions of specialized and "unique" advertizing agencies. And no new ideas? It seems, that everything is already invented!

I remeber in the beginning of the 20th century in the theoretical physics there was the official oppinion: There´s nothing new to develop in physics - everything is already discovered. Then a new generation of physicist arrived and brought us a totally new world (Einstein, Plank etc..) with television, radio, later internet and much more!

Where is the new generation of advertizer?

We are living in a world in which so many things are extremely regulated. Well...., especially in the European community.To many jokes have been told about that. However, most of them where no jokes, it is reality.

Of course the world need rules how we could live and deal together. On the other hand the world needs more freedome. Real freedome.

An open free world is not just a dream, it would become reality, when more people become more independen from the daily obligations of the system and taking over responsibility of their own future.

Of course part of the system, but using the enormous potential of this golden area.

Steve Jobs is dead! A genious passed away!

Steve Jobs ist dead!

It sounds unbelievable and irrealistic...... however it is definite.

Each entrepreneur was able to learn from him about marketing and innovation. Al lot of comments was written about that topic and a lot of comments will be written in future!

I´ll write about his attitue about life at this time:

2005, after his first recovery from cancer he spoke very emotional to students of Stanford about love, losing and dead:

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. [...]

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Economical desaster - economical chance?

In CNN money Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said European leaders need to do more to prevent financial chaos in Europe. (http://money.cnn.com/2011/09/24/markets/geithner_debt/index.htm?hpt=ibu_c2).

Very interesting this comment, because US financial situation is not better...

In such difficult economical situations "secure" jobs in big companies are not secure anymore. Many companies are using this situation (necessary or not) to reduce manpower. I watched this several times, when i was an employee in a big international company. There was no need to do it, but they did anyhow.

One important point is, that in situations of downsizing also the best people quit their jobs to become an independend entrepreneur and start their own company. Leaders will see the chance of tough times like this, they have no fear and they take their lifes in their own hand.
